2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Mass Medical School

The agenda for this 2-hour program is packed and includes: Web 1.0 to Web 2.0, RSS/Blogs, Podcasts, Wikis and a look at what future technologies (such as mobile technology, biomedical informatics and nano-technology) might bring to medical libraries.

Charles Greenberg, one of NAHSL’s “own” who works at Yale, is one of the speakers, and there is a link to his surgery blog on the bio page!

The Boston location will include a exciting wrap-around session with two MAHSLIN members who will discuss the use of some of these technologies in their libraries. Brandy King, Librarian, Center for Media and Child Health, will talk about her new blog for the Center and Cara Helfner, Librarian, Kessler Health Education Library, will talk about the use of podcasting in her library.

There is no charge to MAHSLIN members to attend either program. There is a $10 charge for non-MAHSLIN members to attend the Webcast at the Boston location. Registration deadline is Friday, November 3rd.
